PayCamp tracks electricity usage per berth using meter readings. Record the starting reading when a berth holder arrives or at the start of their billing period. When you take the next reading, the system calculates consumption in kWh, applies your rate with correct UK VAT, and either adds it to their next invoice or generates a standalone electricity bill. For annual berth holders, you can bill electricity monthly or quarterly while mooring fees remain annual. All readings are stored for audit purposes.

How do payments work — does the money come directly to us?

You have two options. PayCamp Payments is the easiest — enable it in Settings and complete a guided verification, then your customers can pay invoices and bookings online by card. We charge 2.9% + 30p per transaction and settle funds to your bank account after 7 days. Alternatively, you can connect your own Stripe account and process payments directly with no PayCamp fee — just Stripe's standard rates. Either way, you get full visibility of every transaction in your dashboard.

Do you manage parking for mooring customers?

Yes. PayCamp includes a full parking management module. Allocate free parking spaces to berth holders as part of their mooring agreement, or set paid parking rates for visitors and additional vehicles. You can track vehicle registrations, issue permits (stickers, hangtags, or digital), and manage multiple parking zones. Each customer's parking allocation is visible on their profile alongside their mooring details.

What about pump-out and elsan services?

PayCamp handles pump-out and elsan (chemical toilet) disposal services. Set your own pricing — per pump-out, token-based, or included as a free monthly allowance for berth holders. Track usage per customer, log whether it was self-service or staff-assisted, and invoice accordingly. You can also manage free monthly allowances (e.g. 2 free pump-outs per month for annual berth holders) with automatic tracking of usage against allowance.

Can I send bulk emails to my customers?

Yes. The Communications Hub lets you send branded emails to all your customers or filtered groups — for example, all annual berth holders, all visitors from last season, or all boats with expiring BSS certificates. Compose your message, preview it, and send. All emails are logged against each customer's record and use your site's branding. You can also configure a custom reply-to email address so responses come back to your preferred inbox.
